deutschsprachige Buch "Quickchange", welches trotz der Sprachbarriere in allen 5
Kontinenten gelesen wurde, wurde in einer internationalen Zusammenarbeit ins Englische
übersetzt. Aber nicht nur das:
Ursprünglich als reine 1:1 Übersetzung geplant, begann der britische Illusionist
Lee Alex die Arbeit, aber schon bald wuchs das Projekt aus seinen Kinderschuhen heraus.
Lee Alex, selbst Quick-Change Artist, veröffentlichte seine Ideen gleich mit in dem Buch.
Zusammen mit dem ehemaligen deutschen Quick-Change Artisten
Dr. Christian Thurnes (KONG)enstand nun ein fast völlig neues Buch.
Wenn 3 Quickchange-Insider ein Buch schreiben, bleiben weitere nicht aus.
Internationale bekannte Quick-Change Artisten, der Historiker
von "The Magic Circle" (UK) und Jim Steinmeyer (USA) standen für
historische Recherchen für dieses internationale Buchprojekt für
viele Fragen offen.
Während im deutschen Buch "Quickchange" bereits 5 verschiedene Methoden des Öffnen
und Schließens von Kleidungsstücken beschrieben werden, sind im englischsprachigen
Buch insgesamt 15 (!) verschiedene Methoden beschrieben. Einige davon sind so spektakulär,
dass Dr. Christian Thurnes den Autor sogar davon abriet, sie zu veröffentlichen.
Ein deutsches Buch
mit 80 Seiten ins Englische zu übersetzen würde normalerweise ein ca. 60-seitiges Buch
ergeben. Das
neue englische QUICK CHANGE Buch hat aber 112 Seiten und ist dazu auch größer.
Interessant ist, dass in diesem Buch nicht einfach nur Techniken erklärt
werden - sie werden trainiert! Niemals zuvor gab es eine solch umfangreiche Abhandlung zu diesem Thema.
Nicht nur Zauberer aus der ganzen Welt gehören zu den begeisterten Lesern des englischen
Buches, sondern auch berühmte Las Vegas Illusionisten und Showtheater -
wie z.B. der Cirque du Soleil. Die Crème de 'la Crème internationaler Illusionskunst
lobte dieses Buch in den höchsten Tönen.
